Climate Change

Kern Council of Governments is working to help member agencies to understand, prepare, and comply with the new Climate Change laws. Namely AB 32 and SB 375. The board has commissioned a Task Force that has been responsive and proactive.

Kern COG is participating with the SB 375 Regional Target Advisory Committee "RTAC"and other MPO's in the process of developing methodologies, determining targets, and the modeling of Sustainable Community Strategies, and Alternative Planning Strategies.
