Bakersfield Rail Yards and Kern River Bridge

Currently there are two HSR routes that will cross the Kern Region. The northern portion of the HSR line will run from Fresno to Bakersfield, the southern portion will run from Bakersfield to Palmdale.

Final HSR alignments have not been decided and are subject to change.

This map displays the Fresno-Bakersfield section of the High Speed Rail system. Marked on the map are planned grade separations and proposed Heavy Maintenance Facility locations. Also indicated are portions of the alignments currently planned to be built above grade on raised viaducts.

Bakersfield to Palmdale Section Scoping Report

The purpose of this report is to summarize the scoping process and comments received during the scoping period for the Environmental Impact Report/Environmental Impact Statement (EIR/EIS) for the Bakersfield to Palmdale section of the California High-Speed Train (HST) system. The report provides a brief project background, a description of the scoping process and meetings, a list of other outreach activities, and a summary of the public and agency comments received during scoping.

Fresno to Bakersfield Preliminary Alternatives Analysis
