Seeking talented professional to join our team at Kern Council of Governments as Executive Director. The E.D. serves as the Chief Administrative Officer of Kern COG and is responsible to the Board for the proper administration of all Kern COG affairs. The E.D. provides leadership, policy and budget recommendations, fiscal and program management, and supervises the planning and implementation of all Kern COG activities.

Successful candidate must possess Bachelor's Degree in city or regional planning, public or business administration, or engineering; 5 years increasingly responsible experience in governmental planning or administration with four of those years in city, county or regional planning. Candidates may be considered on the basis of a combination of additional related education (i.e. Master's Degree in planning, administration, or engineering), job experience and results achieved. Must possess valid driver's license and clean driving record. Competitive compensation and generous benefits offered.
