Draft 2015 FTIP

ANNOUNCEMENT:

October 7, 2014

Subject:  Draft 2015 Federal Statewide Transportation Improvement Program

The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) has completed the Draft 2015 Federal Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (FSTIP), which is posted on the following website http://www.dot.ca.gov/hq/transprog/oftmp.htm for your review and comments.  The 2015 FSTIP is a four-year (federal fiscal years 2014/15 to 2017/18) statewide multimodal program of transportation projects that is consistent with the statewide transportation plan and planning processes, the metropolitan plans, and the Federal Transportation Improvement Programs (FTIPs).  Caltrans prepares the FSTIP in cooperation with the Metropolitan Planning Organizations (MPOs) and the Regional Transportation Planning Agencies.

The FTIPs/FSTIP contain all capital and non-capital transportation projects or identified phases of transportation projects in the State of California that are proposed for federal funding under Titles 23 and 49 of the United States Code.  In addition, all regionally significant projects, regardless of the funding source, are included in the FSTIP.  Projects located in rural non-MPO areas are directly listed in the FSTIP.  Projects located within MPO boundaries are listed in the Federal Transportation Improvement Program (FTIPs) and included in the 2015 FSTIP by reference.

The public review and comment period for the Draft 2015 FSTIP begins on October 7, 2014 and ends on October 28, 2014.  Please email comments to This email address is being protected from spambots.
