Represents California air basins defined by state and federal law and regulation. It is a polygon coverage showing basin boundaries and names as of March 1997. Air basins represent large areas that incorporate multiple counties or parts of counties. There are 14 basins in the State.
Developed for Air Resources Board to conduct business and use in reports.
Data is based on county Public Land Survey system and hydrography linework, which were digitized from 1:100,000 source material or converted from DLG sources.
