Represents California air districts defined in federal law and regulation. It is a polygon coverage showing district boundaries and names as of 1997. Air districts represent large areas that incorporate multiple counties or parts of counties and sometimes more than one airbasin. Most are defined by county lines.
Developed for Air Resources Board. Most of their work is defined by airbasins and/or airboard districts.
Data is based onTeale's county lines as of 1990 which were digitized from 1:100,000 source material. Non-county linework was digitized from a variety of sources.
