Data Quality Information: Data resolution ranges from 1:24,000 to 1:100,000
Most of the digitizing work is done from boundaries delineated onto 24K USGS
topo maps. If the maps provided by the district are of poor resolution,
efforts are made to transcribe the boundary onto 24K USGS topos. If the
boundary is received in digital format from the district, it is inserted as
is. All district boundaries that are captured are processed thru a
verification schedule. A map of the captured district is sent to the
district representative to approve or disapprove the boundary line. The
district has 90 days to respond else the boundary is inserted into the main
library as correct and current. If there are any corrections to be made a
new map is resent for further verification. Any time there is an annexation
or exclusion, verification actions are repeated.
