Kern Council of Governments is seeking applicants for the position of Financial Services Officer. Under general direction of the Executive Director and Director of Administration, the Financial Services Officer is responsible for theĀ recommendation and administration of Kern COG Board policies regarding budgetary, financial, and administrative matters; supervise, coordinate, and preparing the Overall Work Program and annual budgets for Kern COG and the Motorist Aid Authority; monitoring work element budget execution; accounts payable and receivable; performing special studies; responding to Board referrals; preparing and presenting fiscal audits; analyzing service delivery processes and systems; facilitating interdepartmental coordination and collaboration; supervising capital improvement planning.
