2019 Federal Transportation Improvement Program

On August 16, 2018, the Kern COG Board of Directors adopted the 2019 Federal Transportation Improvement Program, 2018 Regional Transportation Plan/Sustainable Communities Strategy and Environmental Impact Report, and corresponding Air Quality Conformity Analysis. State and federal approval is required.

ANNOUNCEMENT: October 10, 2018

The Draft 2019 Federal Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (FSTIP) is now available for public review at the following website: http://www.dot.ca.gov/hq/transprog/oftmp.htm.
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) prepares the FSTIP every two years in cooperation with metropolitan planning organizations and regional transportation planning agencies in California. The FSTIP is a federally mandated document that includes phases of capital and non-capital transportation projects prioritized to receive federal funding under Titles 23 and 49 of the United States Code during federal fiscal years 2019 through 2022. It also includes regionally significant projects regardless of the funding source.

The 14-day public comment period for the Draft 2019 FSTIP begins on October 10, 2018 and concludes on October 24, 2018. Please email comments to lima.huy@dot.ca.gov or send them to the address provided below by October 24, 2018:

2017 Federal Transportation Improvement Program

 

The Federal Transportation Improvement Program (FTIP) is a plan for the incremental implementation of the long-range Regional Transportation Plan. The FTIP presents to federal funding agencies manageable components for the funding of long-term plans.

On September 15, 2016, the Kern COG Board of Directors adopted the 2017 Federal Transportation Improvement Program.
